Fashion experts say that one of the most essential items for 2010 would be cross necklaces. Although there are already plenty of people that wear them, fashionistas rave about how it’s going to be a big trend by next year.

But beyond the dictates of fashion, wearing these cross necklaces actually have a more significant, but subtle meaning.

Anybody can go ahead and wear a cross pendant regardless of their personal faith and belief. Those who believe in Christ wear it to symbolize devotion to Jesus; while those that wear it for fashion purposes believe that it enhances their style.

The idea of wearing necklaces has been around for a long time, in fact, since ancient times.

It started even during the Stone Age days, at that time; it was supposed that people walked around with stones, mollusk and bones as necklaces.

Then the discovery of gold and silver came and these were also used as adornment and turned into necklaces.

One of the most specific examples of jewelry are those worn and created by Egyptians. They had beaded necklaces made from beads as well as stones.

In the necklace, gemstones and stones were used in creating specific patterns and thus, forming a very intricate and beautiful piece of necklace.

The men and women of Egypt actually wore these necklaces to symbolize their faith and belief. They were a symbol of religion and also bore a cultural significance.

Today, people still find themselves creating the same statement with their jewelry, hence, necklaces with cross designs are still a popular way for believers to showcase their faith.

Although with the advent of the internet, finding a rare coin dealer has become easy; finding a credible and qualified one, is still a difficult task. It need not be so, if you were to take into consideration certain factors.

The first and foremost aspect that you need to look for in a coin dealer is experience. It is a fact that not everyone can become experienced overnight. Since you are in the market for buying rare coins, you should always try and look for a dealer who can give you accurate advice. Remember, rare coins do not come cheap it is no use going to a novice. Moreover, with so many counterfeit and fake coins going around the market, it is always preferable to seek the services of an experienced and credible rare coin dealer.

One good indicator of a dealer’s credentials would be the credential that they enjoy within the numismatic community. Another good indicator for a credible dealer would be a membership with a reputable organization such as the ‘Professional Numismatic Guild’ or PNG. Any member of the PNG is supposed to follow particular ethical standards and would therefore be a good choice.

Another important aspect that you need to look in a rare coin dealer is customer service. Does the dealer actually enjoy clarifying your doubts? It goes without saying that you need to avoid dealers who are pretty inaccessible or genuinely lack enthusiasm while dealing with collectors. You must also find out whether the dealer that you intend to choose regularly participates in auctions or not. Remember, those dealers who regularly participate in auctions are more aware of the current market conditions and therefore in a better position to guide you.

For detailed information on rare and ancient coins [http://www.coin.uk.com] you can visit coin.uk.com [http://www.coin.uk.com]. This online source is also a good place to shop for coins.

How To Find Rare Collectible Coins

Coin collecting was started only as a hobby for most people, however you can hear what other people say (or you probably have heard yourself) about news of people cashing in on their old coin; and that encouraged more people to go on a coin-collecting streak. If you are one of those people who want to invest in coins, here are several places to start your collection.

Coin Shops:

Many shop owners are dealers that know a lot of information about coins and are selling coins too. These coin shops are a valuable place to find and gain more information about coins and coin collecting. These coin shops can be costly, though, as they are anticipating selling their coins for a profit. With enough knowledge and/or having someone who know a great deal about coin collecting at your side, you can get great prices for your coins.

Coin Shows:

There are times when your local mall will have an exhibit from several coin dealers and that will let you see all of the collections and allow you to buy some coins for a lower price due to the competition. You will probably also see several new coins that are available and suitable for your collection.

These coins shows are great not only for sellers and buyers but also for coin enthusiasts who want to see rare and hard to find coins.

Mail Orders/Web Sites:

There are thousands of dealers worldwide and most of them have websites that allow buy coins and pay for them through mail order or through any online payment system such as Paypal. You should do your research on these companies and read their terms carefully to make sure that you can get your money back when you have a problem with the coin you purchased and/or received.

For every legitimate web site, there are may be hundreds of fake web sites that are just attempting to get your money. You should always ask for feedback from previous customers before paying anybody online and remember not to give out any password or pin numbers.

Flea Markets:

It would be surprising place to find rare coins at a flea market, but stranger things have happened. These places have different ideas about pricing which is due to their lack of understanding of how a coin should be priced. You will find overpriced coins but if you are lucky you might fi
1000
nd a rare coin somewhere in those stacks of coins that will make it worth your while.

Flea markets sellers are usually looking for a quick sell and would probably give you discounts when you buy their items in bulk. Try to buy other items and get your coins added as a bonus.

Auctions:

If you are looking to invest in really, really rare coins, the best place to go would be an auction. Auctions are the only place where you can find people selling their rarest and most expensive coins. Several of these auctions are happening online at the same time and most of the sellers are looking for the highest bidders. You must be aware and warned that some of these sellers are frauds and will not make the price you pay worthwhile. You should try to learn more about these coins and their worth before trying to buy one from an online auction.

Other Coin Collectors:

Coin collectors usually have duplicate coins that they are willing to sell for a price lower than its market value. The only problem is it is hard to find another coin collector that collects the same coins as you. The best places to look are online groups, forums and (if you have one) local groups.

Other coin collectors are the best people to turn into when you want to start your own collection. They can offer you tips, discounts and some might even be tempted to give you some of their coins to kick-start your collection.

Coin collecting is like any other investment the value will fluctuate: they may depreciate in value and/or gain value at any time. The best way to profit in coin collecting is keep updated with the news and the prices of the coins. This will not only help you in not being fooled by merchants but by learning how to price a coin even without a price list.

Where To Find Rare Coins

Some people want to shoot for something that’s a bit more fun than the regular circulated coin collection. This is where finding rare coins comes into play. Since rare coins, well, are so rare, coin collecting takes on a new degree of interest and excitement. However, finding these rarer coins gets increasingly more difficult depending on the coin that you’re after. These are just some simple ways to find rare coins without having to travel around the world to track one down.

A great way to find rare coins is to take advantage of the fact that owner’s probably don’t know how rare they are. Try some local flea markets. Chances are that the owners know that there’s something special about these coins that might be able to rake in a few more cents than face value, but don’t quite know that it might mean much more than that. These are very easy buys. Likewise, you can hit local shops that happen to purchase coins. Some antique and pawn shops will buy these guys, but it’s not guaranteed. Check with your local businesses. Of course, if you’re at an antique shop, they mostly deal with furniture and adornments, so more easy buys for you.

Ebay: the same concept, but online. With so many listings, there’s bound to be a few sellers who also don’t quite know how much their coins are worth. They will often put whole collections up (similar to selling stamp collections) for very low prices. Most of the time, the sellers will have already taken out the rarest ones, but from time to time they will be left in. This is where you take them for yourself. Ebay also happens to be a place where people try to sell fakes, so please be careful while browsing and never assume anything.

The third and most obvious way is to check every single darn coin that you come across. Memorize a few marks that make a coin rare, and check for them every time you get some change. Most of the time, you’re not going to get anything interesting. However, if you happen to be missing a few years here and there, you’re going to fill in those gaps very quickly. It takes just a few minutes a day, and you’re never going to have to examine more than ten to fifteen coins at once. You’ll be surprised.

Rare coins are everywhere. Don’t expect to find a coin worth $7 million any time soon, but you can be sure that whatever coins you’re missing in y
1000
our collection can indeed be found using the three places above. Just keep plowing through the many coins that you see in your life. You’re bound to hit one that you need.

Australian rare coins have great value for investors as well as collectors. It’s long been known that collections of rare coins increase in value over time and Australian coins are no exception. In the current volatile economic conditions investing in coins can provide security as well great investment potential. Some Australian pre-decimal Commonwealth coins are among the most sought after and highly valued of all world coins. The performance of many Australian coins exceeds even most ancient coins.

Sovereign coins have been minted in Australia since the 1850’s. The Australian Commonwealth coins were minted between the years 1910 and 1964. The currency used in Australia in that period was based on the British system using pennies (pence) and pounds. The coins for Australian use were minted in various locations including London, Birmingham, San Francisco, Calcutta as well as the mints in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. The coin series consisted of the halfpenny, penny, threepence, sixpence, shilling, florin, crown and sovereign.

The most valuable coin of the series and arguably of all world coins is the 1930 Australian penny. This extremely rare coin can attract prices in excess of $200,000 dollars if in excellent condition but even poor examples can attract five figure values. Some of the many other highly valued coins include the 1855, 1856 and 1858 Sovereign, the 1933 shilling, 1922/1 overdated threepence, 1925 penny and 1923 halfpenny, all of which can return well over $5000. More examples of rare Australian coin values can be found here http://steven-cousley.com/coins

A collection of good quality Australian coins can certainly make a sound investment for the astute collector. It can be demonstrated that over the last 40 -50 years some coins have increased in value almost 200 fold, or better than a 13% annual increase. The coins can also make fantastic family heirlooms as well giving the opportunity to own a piece of Australian history. Their are also considerable tax advantages to investing in currency and in Australia coin investments are approved for superannuation funds.

For a secure investment with excellent prospects it’s hard to go past investing in currency collections. Australian coins are among the most valuable in the world. As they become more sought after, there is huge potential for the investor in both short term and long term profit. An investment in Australia’s currency history is also an investment for your future.

For those who are beginners to the world of coin collecting, if you’ve already amassed a decent collection of coins, the first thing that would probably enter your mind would be, “are any of my coins rare or valuable?” This may be a tough question to answer, as an old coin may not always be a truly “rare” one. For example, you may have an old wheat penny in your repository, but what you don’t know is that there may be thousands of these wheat pennies that were circulated before. However, it would also be possible that a coin in your collection may be a truly rare one, although you’re not aware of it. Because of this possibility, it would be best if you delve some time learning about the tools required in identifying rare coins, as well as in embarking on rare coin collecting.

In the art of rare coin collecting, there are two major categories or classes for defining rare coins: Mintage Rarities and Grade Rarities. A Mintage rarity coin is a coin that is rare because it has a low mintage relative to market demand for the type. A Grade rarity coin on the other hand, is an otherwise common coin that is only rare because it falls in certain grades, like the current date U.S. Cents graded MS-70. In properly finding out if you got a rare coin in your collection, it would be best to check out ‘The Official Red Book’, which is considered the Bible for US coin collectors. This important book lists and indexes every kind of coin that was minted in the US, and also includes information on when each penny was made, how rare they are now, and what their current values are. Each coin in the book is represented in clear photographs, to properly inform collectors of their size and exact appearance. The Official Red Book comes out with a new and updated edition each year as well. A good source of education regarding rare coins would be the Internet. The Worldwide Web has a number of coin-identification Web sites, which may be very useful to novice coin collectors. Apart from consulting the Official Red Book and scanning the Internet, you could also bring your coin collection to a reputable dealer. These reputable and professional dealers ensure that they properly asses and identify your coin collections, and provide you with vital pointers for identifying rare coins.

Rare coin collecting can be a great adventure. You can search for rare coins that offer good value on the Web, or in coin auctions, or you may also drop by a flea market. Flea markets, according to numismatic experts, are places where people go to buy different sorts of items at truly affordable prices. For budding coin collectors, this market can be a rare coin “paradise”, since you may be able to spot rare coins that are sold at rock-bottom, or very reasonable prices. According to veteran rare coin collectors, the most valuable and truly celebrated rare pennies are those that have minting errors, and have values ranging from a few dollars, and are still in circulation today. In addition, there are a number of rare coin dealer Web sites that provide collectors with a listing of modern rare coins, and show their prices as well. The art of searching for rare coins is truly an exciting and interesting one, especially when it leads you to a rare “find”.

Collecting Rare Coins

What makes a coin truly rare? Coin rarity is determined by two different criteria. In some instances, a coin may be fairly common in circulated condition, but there may be very few in “mint” or uncirculated condition. This is known as “conditional rarity,” since the coin’s rarity is based on the actual condition of the coin.

There are some coins, however, that are rare in any condition, and these are known as “absolute rarity.” Many gold coins fall under this category, and the investment market is fairly hot for these items. Examples of these kinds of coins are gold pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries, rare silver dimes like the 1894-S Barber dime, and several types of one cent pieces from the last 1700s.

If you have a coin that you feel is rare, either conditionally or absolutely, there are a number of resources out there to check. You can take your coin to a reputable dealer for an appraisal (you may want to visit more than one to get a second opinion). Conventions and coin shows often offer free appraisals too. You can also find any number of coin appraisers online. Some appraisers will waive their fees if they end up purchasing your coins; ask up front what the charges will be for the appraisal. Be sure to check the background of any appraiser you use, and make sure they have extensive experience and credentials.

You can research your coins on your own with a good coin valuation guide. A comprehensive resource is the Guide Book of United States Coins by R.S. Yeoman, often referred to as the “Official Red Book.” Any local bookstore or serious hobby shop should have a few different books available. You can also check your local library.

There are a number of coin dealers that buy and sell exclusively in rare coins. Some of their products can be quite expensive, and some specialize in gold coins and “investment” products.

And don’t forget to check that change in your pocket! There are a number of rare coins still in circulation, and you never know when you might get lucky. Some of the coins to keep an eye out for are listed on various websites:

1943 Copper Penny – During World War II, production of pennies moved from copper to zinc-coated steel, so the copper could be used for the war effort. In the changeover, however, about 40 copper cents were struck from copper by mistake. A true copper penny with this da
1000
te could fetch upwards of $200,000.

1982 “No P” Dime – Struck in the Philadelphia Mint, the P was inadvertently left off from an undetermined number of these dimes. Estimated to be worth around $100, although some dealers may try to get more for them.

1955 Double Die Penny – With a value estimated at $200 – $1,000, these goofs were caused by a misalignment, resulting in a double image of the numbering and letters.

Coin enthusiasts often search for years looking for that once-in-a-lifetime find. In the meantime, they enjoy the thrill of the hunt. If you want to join the true lovers of rare coins, read up as much as you can so you’ll know what you are looking for, and how to identify it when you find it. Collecting rare coins can be a lifelong hobby for the whole family. Get out there and starting looking!

If you are a coin collector, you should be happy to know that coin collecting is easier today than ever. Before the advent of the internet, for example, coin collectors had to travel far and wide to meet with other collectors. They had to go to coin collecting shows and, depending on how serious of a collector you were, coin collecting was a member’s exclusive club. Today, coin collecting has become much easier and more widespread thanks to internet auction sites such as Ebay. All you have to do is search Ebay coin auctions to obtain those hard to get coins, rare coins, foreign coins, or whatever else you collect. You can browse coins in the comfort of home and you can have the coins delivered right to you.

What You Need

In order to search Ebay coin auctions, all you need is a computer and an internet connection. There are many coin collectors out there who love to show their collections off on the internet and you can even bid on these rare coins, just as you would at a real coin auction. The only difference is that you never have to leave your house.

In order to show off your own collection, and to offer your rare coins to other collectors, you will need to set up an Ebay account. You don’t need an account to search Ebay coin auctions, but you will need an account if you hope to auction off your own coins. To create an account, simply follow the directions given to you by the Ebay website. Your payments will go through a website called Paypal, or you can set it up using a credit card. Ebay will take a small percentage of whatever you get for you coins, but it’s a small price to pay for the exposure. Think of all the people who will search Ebay coin auctions and think of all the people that will see the coins you’re offering.

To set up your own coin auction, simply take a picture of whatever coin you are looking to auction off. Then, write a short description of the coin. This is what others will see when they search Ebay coin auctions. You can set a starting bid price and then see where it goes. You also have the option of setting up a time limit on your bid. Just make sure that you are happy with the limits you set because once the bid is over, that’s the price you’re going to get.

If you are a collector and you’re not too keen on leaving your house to do your collecting, just search Ebay coin auctions to find those rare and unique coins, or post your own to help someone build their collection. Thanks to Ebay, coin collecting has never been easier.

One of the best methods of learning history and its significant teachings is through actual doing. It may sound confusing but it has been certified and proven that experience indeed serves as the best teacher.

In this article, a particular form of collecting or hobby known as ancient coin collecting will be discussed briefly and concisely. Coin collecting in general is considered a hobby of the accumulation and maintenance of coins for their artistic, historical, geographic, and economic value. Coins may range from ancient times to modern times. But for an avid coin collector virtually any coin is worth collecting especially ancient ones.

In ancient coin collecting the aim of the coin collector is to acquire rare, valuable, and untouched coins from the far past. By untouched we mean a coin that has no imperfections whatsoever.

There three main coins that are hunted down by experienced and determined coin collectors: Roman, Greek, and Chinese coins. Those three civilizations are considered to be the epitome of all coins. From each comes down a line of newer and more modern types of coins that may trigger the interest of coin collectors not particularly attracted to ancient coins per se.

The minting of coins was first started by the Greeks during the ancient Greek times. The first coins were called Silver Drachmae by the Greek people because it is of course made from silver which gives it a silver hue. The capital city of Greece, Athens displayed their artistic talents through their coins. They infused their coins with designs inspired by the gods and goddesses. Finally, Alexander the Great morphed the common idealistic designs and had it turned into more realistic ones like images of rulers and kings.

The second type of ancient coin is the Roman coin. The coins of the Romans were the first to establish bronze, silver, and gold. It differs from the Greeks who employed silver coins… Ancient roman coins were said to be made to broadcast various economic and political propaganda. Like the ancient Greek coins, Roma coins used depictions of their ruler in the distribution of their coins.

The last form ancient coin collecting people seek to acquire are the ancient Chinese coins. Due to its value and prize as a rare coin, conniving coin dealers constantly create forges and fraud of this type of coins. This is a big problem to the coin collecting hobby and industry especially the aspiring and new coin collectors. Other than that significant problem, ancient Chinese coins are said to be majestic in design and form.

Ancient coin collecting is sure to captivate the hearts and interest of coin collectors and hobbyists a like. It may seem boring and dull but it surely is a gateway to the ancient period of the world. Remember before engaging on you rare coin hunts to add in your collection of precious coins, it is best to do some research and further readings you can possibly make. It will to the highest degree lend a hand in your coin collecting hobby.

Stephen J. Buckley is a long-time collector of rare coins. His collection includes (and in fact specializes in) coins found in ancient Rome. You can check out his site at Inside Coin Collecting and he also knows a great deal about Ancient Coin Collecting [http://www.insidecoincollecting.com/ancient-coin-collecting]

Coin collecting. An associate of mine remembers receiving as a child a big paper bag of old US silver dollars, some going back as far as the late 1890s. Sometime between then and today he has misplaced that old paper bag. To this day he wonders if any of those coins might have been worth something.

There is no arguing that coin collecting is one of the biggest and most expensive hobbies in the world. The price tags of some old coins would turn your hair grey. In this article we’re going to review the 10 most rare coins in existence. Wait until you see what some of these are going for.

Starting at number 10, there are the “proof gold” coins. Today the mint strikes millions of these coins every year and sells them to collectors from all over the world. However in the 19th century the mint struck only a few thousand of these each year and only a handful of proof gold coins. These are very rare and very expensive and sell very well in good and bad market times.

At number 9 we have early US gold coins struck between 1795 and 1834. These were minted in denominations of $2.50 $5 and $10. Today these coins are very rare in any condition and super rare in mint condition.

Coming in at number 8 we have the Liberty Seated Dollars. These coins are said to be the most beautiful ever made and one of the rarest of the 19th century coins. Both circulation strikes and proofs are very rare.

Hitting the chart at number 7 we have a very odd coin that was minted between 1875 and 1878. These were twenty cent pieces. Unfortunately the coin looked too much like a quarter to catch on with the public and there was no real commercial need for the denomination. Today they are highly prized collectors items. These coins today are very rare in top condition.

Number 6 on the coin hit parade are the Barber half dollars. These were minted between 1892 and 1915. They are one of the coin markets most important issues. They are collected by both “date” and “type” collectors and are the rarest of the 20th century silver type issues. These are very rare coins and to find one in gem condition is a once in a lifetime occurrence.

Midway up the chart at number 5 is the 1917 Type One Standing Liberty Quarter. This coin was made for only 2 years. The exposed breast of Miss Liberty caused such a commotion that they had to radically change the design midway through 1917. Since the 1916 is a 5 figure rarity (in the 10’s of thousands of dollars) this coin is essentially a one year issue.

At number 4 are the Mercury Dimes. Even though this dime was minted between 1916 and 1945 proofs were made only between 1936 and 1942. Mercury dimes minted between 1940 and 1945 are actually reasonably priced and sell for about $50 a piece. The proofs are a little more expensive.

Just 2 spots from the top at number 3 is the Walking Liberty half dollar. This is also one of the world’s most beautiful coins and extremely popular with coin buyers. These coins are very hard to find in mint condition. All five of the issues between 1941 and 1945 have made the all time rare coins price list.

Falling just short of number 1 at number 2 is the Texas Commemorative Half Dollar. This is actually the number 1 commemorative coin on the all time rare coins price list. Between 1934 and 1938 about 150,000 of these coins were minted. Only about 60 to 80% of those have survived to this day and only 50% of those grade MS65 or better. So this is indeed not only an extremely rare coin but actually considered scarce.

Finally coming in at number 1 is the Saint Gaudens. This $20 piece is probably the world’s most well known coin. It is one of the most beautiful coin designs in history. This is one of the few coins that didn’t drop in price during the 1980-1982 bear market.

In a future article we’ll cover how coin collectors go about getting rare coins and where they can be found both on and off line.

——————————————————-
Michael Russell
Your Independent guide to Coin Collecting
——————————————————-

For coin collectors all over the world, one of the most fantastic unearths that will ever be obtained in the market today are old rare Chinese silver coins. For one thing, you don’t usually find rare Chinese coins from different dynasties in the local Chinese markets without wondering or suspecting if all the merchant’s hordes are mere copies or fakes of the real thing.

It is also awfully rare to be in a position to obtain ancient Chinese silver coins for modest prices. So, be aware that if you are into the coin picking up business and want to have some of China’s old and rare silver coins, you are most likely going to shell out lots of cash just to get them. What you’ll be benefiting from these coins though is a part of the state’s traditional history, a valuable and unsubstantial treasure that nobody can fiddle with unless they absolutely destroy such artifacts.

The circulation of old rare Chinese Silver Coins first began when the republic of China was set up after the Xinhai Revolution. Because they were forced to develop and issue a new military currency to replace the prior one used during the Qing dynasty, they Nanjing provisional government decided to create a new sort of currency known as the Silver Dollar.

This was established in 1914 by the National Currency Ordinance and became the national currency of the Republic of China. From then on until the 1930s, lots of the designs have changed overtime but the actual sizes and quantity of valuable metals used remained unchanged.

These coins have a history so rich that the value of these authentic rare coins can be quite forcing for the average coin collector. You will discover that some of these old rare Chinese Silver Coins cannot be purchased less than a thousand dollars from a reputable coin dealer.

Ancient Coins And Legal Tender
by: Charles Roman

Getting Started with the Hobby of Numismatics and Collecting Coins

What is Numismatics?

Numismatics – the very name sounds mysterious and evocative. In simple terms, numismatics covers the science and study of coins, cash, and other legal tender, as well as medals, tokens, and medallions. The collection of ancient, commemorative, and rare coins is a fun and exacting hobby, and opens up a realm of history that most people never get to see. A numismatist holds an ancient coin that has passed through dozens or hundreds of hands throughout the millennia. In medieval times, the collection of ancient coins was already popular, but it was known as a hobby for kings. Today, building a fascinating collection of coins does not have to be expensive, and everyone can participate in this exciting pastime.

How do I Start Collecting Coins and Legal Tender?

When deciding which coins to collect, you should consider your interests, your budget, and your return on investment.

The first step when building a collection of coins is to decide what category of legal tender interests you most. Some people like to focus their collections on specific precious metals, such as gold, silver, copper, or bronze coins. Others like to concentrate on a specific time or region, like ancient Roman coins. Commemorative coins are a popular form of collection, as are rare minted coins like those which had an error in their stamping. If a certain set of coins doesn’t interest you, it won’t be any fun at all to become a collector.

Another interesting choice for numismatists is a token collection. Tokens were historically used in place of legal tender, if coins of the right value were not available, or were not convenient. In the modern day, tokens are still used at gaming arcades and some vending machines. Tokens may not be as valuable as true moolah, but they are an interesting look at local history, and can be fun to collect.

The price of a rare coin depends on supply and demand. If only a few coins were made but there are tons of collectors, it will be very expensive to start that kind of collection. Ironically, ancient coins are some of the most inexpensive and most interesting coins to collect. Because of the large number of coins in circulation between 650 BC, when stamping coins became popular, to the fall of the Roman Empire in 450 AD, tons of coins were created, and more are being uncovered every day. Common bronze coins that were being used in the time of Archimedes can be bought for about $10 apiece.

The third, and probably least important thing to consider when starting your collection is the likelihood that your coins will increase in value. Coin collecting for investment purposes can be a tricky endeavor. There is always the possibility that the coins you buy will include counterfeits, and the coin market can fluctuate even more wildly than other kinds of investment. For these reasons, it is probably wiser for you to focus on building a collection of coins, tokens, or legal tender that you enjoy than to build your collection with an eye on getting a large return on investment. However, high-grade ancient coins, gold coins, Morgan dollars and Walking Liberty half dollars are among the kinds of collections that are most likely to increase in value over time.
